PERFORMANCE COACHING FOR ENGINEERS AND ATHLETES

You're driven. You're capable. And still not where you want to be?

You've hit the milestones. You excel. And yet something essential is still missing, you're looking for more meaning behind the effort.

I work with ambitious thinkers who want their drive to lead somewhere that truly matters.

ENGINEER. MARATHONER. COACH.

Meet Georgios Siskos, an ICF Certified Coach

There was a time when I believed performance was everything, faster runs, harder work, sharper results. As an engineer and an athlete, I was built to chase outcomes. Always the next goal, always forward. But somewhere along the way I noticed something uncomfortable: no matter how fast I ran or how much I achieved, something essential was missing. I was moving, but not always in the right direction. I had lost connection with what actually mattered, my values, my purpose, my own compass. That realisation changed everything.Over a decade building Europe's renewable energy infrastructure with RWE, GE, Siemens Gamesa, and COWI taught me something coaching later confirmed: the highest-performing people don't fail because of lacking skill. They drift because they've stopped asking where they're actually going. That's the work I do now, with engineers, athletes, and driven professionals who are ready to aim at something that truly matters.

My coaching proposal for you

Coaching isn't one-size-fits-all, and neither are the people I work with. Some need rapid clarity on a specific decision or transition. Others are ready for a deeper process of rebuilding direction from the ground up. Both are valid. Both get the same level of rigour.I offer 1:1 online coaching in English and Greek, in formats built around where you are and what you're working towards. Every engagement starts with one commitment: this is a space where you can think clearly, challenge your assumptions, and move forward with intention.

Stand Alone Session

One session. One problem. Full focus.
For when you're facing a decision that can't wait, a moment that's stalling you, or a transition that needs clear thinking fast. You come in with the knot, you leave with a direction. What you get:

  • Instant clarity on what's at stake

  • A decision framework you can act on today

  • Momentum going into what's next

90-Minute Deep Dive Coaching Session One-off ad-hoc session

Focus Program

For when the challenge is a pattern, not just a moment.
Some challenges aren't a single knot, they're a cluster of connected tensions around identity, direction, performance, or transition that need sustained attention to untangle properly.
This is a structured, ongoing engagement built around your specific situation. What you get:

  • Pattern recognition, not symptom fixing

  • Lasting shifts, not surface solutions

  • Clarity and trust in your own judgement

Coaching and Mentoring for engineers

Engineering careers rarely fail on technical merit. They stall on everything around it: organisational politics, leadership transitions, career direction, and the gap between being exceptional at the work and being recognised for it.
This is where coaching and real-world mentoring meet. Not theory. Someone who has been in the room, faced the same pressures, and can help you think and move more clearly. What you get?

  • Cut through organisational complexity

  • Build leadership presence

  • Career decisions driven by your own values

90-Minute Blended Coaching Session with priority calendar access.

One Step Further: Beyond Limits, Yet Within Reach

In 2018, my life was in motion. I was changing jobs, moving into a new apartment, and deeply in love. Everything was shifting, and instinctively, I knew it was time to grow. Not just professionally or emotionally, but physically and spiritually too.

After 15 years of heavy smoking, I made a life-altering decision — to reclaim my health. I laced up my shoes and took the first step: one lap around Gentofte Lake in Copenhagen. Just two kilometers. But back then? It felt like Everest. The Power of Consistency
Those early runs were slow and breathless. But I kept showing up. Day after day, step by step, something started shifting. Consistency built confidence. And confidence sparked a dream:

“One day, I’ll run marathons and enjoy them.”
It wasn’t about competition. It was about expansion. Not proving something to the world, but becoming more of myself.
Rediscovering the Dream in Barcelona
Like many dreams, this one faded for a while. Until 2020, when I moved to Barcelona. One day, running along the beach, it returned. A quiet inner nudge.
But this time, it hit differently. I realized something profound: Dreams aren’t just dreams. They’re inner needs, signals from our core, calling us to evolve. So, I restarted. One more kilometer. One more run. One more chance to rise. I celebrated even the smallest victories, especially on bad days. Because true success wasn’t in the distance or the pace. It was in the act of showing up. Rising above the noise. Why the Athens Marathon?
When I pictured running my first marathon, only one place made sense:
The Authentic Marathon in Athens: the birthplace of the race. To me, it wasn’t just a course.
It was a symbol. A reconnection with my Greek roots. A nostalgic re-touch with my values and identity. A declaration of growth.Training the Mind More Than the Body
I trained hard for six months. Physically, my body adapted. Slowly, but steadily. But mentally? That’s where the real race happened.
“Will I finish?”
“I’m already 40, is this even realistic?”
“What if I break down?”
“Should I walk or push harder?”
“Let go of time?”
“Is it even worth it?”
These weren’t just marathon questions. They were life questions. And answering them built resilience I now carry in every aspect of my life, and in my coaching style. The Finish Line: A Lesson in Perspective
I completed the Athens Marathon in 4 hours and 22 minutes. It was painful. It was beautiful. It was transformative.
Two moments still echo deeply within me:
Feeling the energy from others. Just before the 32nd kilometer, a brutal uphill stretch. Silence. No music. No chatter. Just breath: heavy, steady, determined. The quiet became a shared roar. That energy carried me to the top.
Feeling the energy from myselfOn the last 1 kilometer, I was in pain, badly. But then I looked at my watch. Even if I slowed down, I would still meet my goal. At that point, I realized something essential:Growth is not just about performance. It’s about presence. So I slowed down. I smiled. I allowed myself to feel everything. That final stretch was pure “χαρμολύπη”, the Greek word for bittersweet joy.The happiness of achieving the impossible.
The sadness of it not lasting forever.

What This Has to Do With You
This story isn’t just about running. It’s about change, purpose, and commitment, the very themes I work on with my coaching clients.
Maybe you’re standing at your starting line. Or maybe you’ve forgotten a dream. Or maybe, like me, you’re just trying to take one more step. You don’t need to run a marathon. But what if you honored your own “inner need”? What if you said yes to growth, regardless of the outcome?Let’s Chase What’s Possible, Together

Unlocking Inner Strength: The Pacers. The Push.

During my last marathon in Prague (2025), I made nearly every classic mistake of the eager amateur. The excitement of racing again swept me up. I let the energy of the crowd set my pace, pushing myself far beyond what my body was ready for. By the 15th kilometer, I was already minutes ahead of all my time checkpoints. My mind was running the show, and mentally, I felt unstoppable, my self-coaching was in full effect. But my body? It simply wasn’t there. That strange moment when your body starts to fade, but your mind refuses to let go.
My heart rate soared, pulsing with adrenaline and emotion. My hydration plan unraveled; water just wouldn’t go down. By kilometer 28, I’d hit my physical limit. Still, I kept running, debating whether to slow to a walk and give my body a chance to recover. My mind, though, was relentless: Keep going. You can do this.
At 38 kilometers, I was convinced I couldn’t take another step. Just as I was about to walk, the sub-4-hour Pacers appeared on my right. Suddenly, hope. Was this a sign not to give up? They were there to carry me to the finish, just follow them! So I did. I corrected my posture, found a new rhythm, and pictured the finish line, with a painful smile on my face. The Pacers, or just me?
For the next four kilometers, I was struck by the energy The Pacers gave me. Was it really them, or was it something within myself that switched on in that moment?
“Was it their presence, or my own strength?”
”Would I have made it without them?”
”Do I truly need them, or did they simply awaken what was already inside me?”
I kept running, step by step, wrestling with these questions. It was tough, it was painful, but I was still moving, still on pace. Still within target.Miles Away, Mind Away
As my legs kept moving, my mind drifted far beyond the race. In that haze of exhaustion, I found myself searching for The Pacers in my own life and work, the people who have nudged me past my comfort zones, who have sparked something deeper within me. How many times have I drawn strength from their example? How often have their encouragements awakened a resilience I didn’t know I had?
I realized: I need these people. Their inspiration matters. But without my own values, without my willingness to rise to the challenge, nothing truly changes.“It’s the interplay between their spark and my own inner fire that creates real growth.”Growth is never a solo act.And then I wondered, do they know the impact they’ve had on me? Have I ever truly celebrated that with them? Where does their influence end and my own strength begin?I didn’t have all the answers. But in that moment, the questions themselves became fuel. They carried me across the finish line, just under four hours, but with a new unlocked room in my self-awareness, a space for gratitude, reflection, and growth. How does this resonate with you? Where do you find your Pacers, and how do you honor the strength they help you discover? What This Has to Do With You
This story isn’t just about pushing your physical limits when you are mentally resilient. It’s about consistency, inspiration, and inner strength, the very themes I explore with my coaching clients.
You don’t always need “The Pacers” to go the extra mile, but you will always need your inner Pacer. Allow yourself to be inspired, honor your inner strength, and celebrate it with those who help you along the way.Maybe you’re searching for your own Pacers. Maybe you’ve forgotten the inner strength that surfaces when you’re inspired by others. Or maybe, like me, you’re just trying to take one more step.Let’s Chase What’s Possible, Together
